Playing hall - 2026

The venue for the 2026 International Kópavogur Tournament is the Glass Hall on the third floor of the stands at Kópavogsvöllur. The hall has hosted many chess tournaments since the Breiðablik Chess Club was founded around 2010, and it also serves as the club’s main training facility.

We hope interested visitors will stop by during the tournament and follow the games, as this is a great opportunity for our promising players to compete against very strong players from across Europe. Coffee and refreshments will be available on site, and there will be a great atmosphere.
