FORMAT: 10-player closed invitational tournament, round-robin.​

PLAYERS: 6 Icelandic players promising players and 4 foreign players (IMs and GMs)

Rules: FIDE rules apply. We will enforce Article 6.7.1 in the following manner: Any player who arrives at the chessboard after the default time – 30 minutes – shall lose the game unless the arbiter decides otherwise​

30 Move - Rule: The players cannot draw a game by agreement before black’s 30th move. A claim for a draw before black’s 30th move is permitted only through the Chief Arbiter (or his Deputy) in the cases of a threefold repetition.

VENUE: Glass Hall, 3rd floor, Stúkan, Kópavogur Stadium

TIME CONTROL: 90 minutes + 30 seconds per move, with an additional 30 minutes after 40 moves
